Sending Smiles - Floral Celebration

Oh my, it's been another few months since I've been here.  I hope you are all staying safe and healthy.  I'm not really enjoying this "new normal" so much, and I'm sure I'm not alone.  It's been a while since I've taken time to be crafty, but I'm finally getting back to it.

I thought I would share this fun card I made using the new Close to My Heart August Stamp of the Month called “Floral Celebration”.  I made this card for a monthly stamp of the month swap I participate in when I’m able to.  I haven't made a Triple Layer card in a while.  This was a great stamp set for it, so many cute floral images and the two sentiments are pretty perfect.

Aren't those images fun?  They make for a great random stamped background.  This card was made using only cardstock, inks and a few sparkles.  You know how I love sparkles!

Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

For some reason I always like to take a photo of all of the cards together before I pop them in the mail.  A sense of accomplishment, I suppose.  :)  You can see the sparkles a little bit better in this photo.

Here's a look at the entire stamp set.  I'm looking forward to designing a few more cards with it.

"Floral Celebration" is available through 8/31/20.  Get it HERE while you can.  And if you'd like to order a few extra items, you can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a minimum order of $50 .  That's a savings of $13.95.  What a deal!  You can view the digital copy of the July/August Idea Book by clicking the link here or on the sidebar of this blog.  You'll also find the current Annual catalog in the same spot.

Let me know if I can answer any questions, my info is in the sidebar.  Thank you for stopping by!

You are O-fish-ally Awesome!

Long time no see.  A very long time indeed.  I thought I would post a cute card I made using the new April Stamp of the Month, “O-fish-ally Awesome”.

I made this card for a monthly stamp of the month swap I participate in when I’m able to.  I’ve seen so many cute ideas with this set from other consultants.  Here is my version.

Those that know me, know I love to fussy cut, and you can see I did quite a bit of fussy cutting on this card.  I used our newer TriBlend markers (from Spectrum Noir) to color all of the images.  I also used our Multi Square Window Thin Cuts to add some extra interest.  The polka dot background paper is from the new Mix-In Paper Packet.  And it's hard for me to do a card without some sort of bling, so of course I've added a few random sparkles.

Here's a look at the entire stamp set.  Isn't it fun.  You can do a search on Pinterest and you'll see some other really fun artwork.

"O-fish-ally Awesome" is available through 4/30/20.  Get it HERE while you can.  And if you'd like to order a few extra items (the April May Idea Book is packed with so many fun things), you can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a minimum order of $50 .  That's a savings of $13.95.  What a deal!

Let me know if I can answer any questions and thanks for stopping by!

For the love of Crafting - August Stamp of the Month

Here I am, posting last minute again.  This is a card I made for a monthly card swap I participate in.  This card uses images from the AUGUST Stamp of the Month - "For the Love of Crafting".

This stamp set has many cute images.  I think it would also be fun for mini albums or little home decor items.  The blue & red papers are from the Central Park Paper Pack.

I stamped the typewriter image, cut it out, then added a separate piece of cardstock coming out of the machine.  I popped up the top of that paper to make it seem like it was really coming out of the typewriter.  I paper pieced the little heart on the typed sentiment because I wanted it to be red.  The hearts are cut with the newer Stitched Heart Thin Cuts.  And of course I added a few sparkles.

Here are all the images in the stamp set.  Wouldn't it be fun to make something for your favorite crafter with these?

This stamp of the month is only available through 8/31.  Get it HERE while you can.  And as always, thank you for stopping by!

Have a Sweet Birthday - May SOTM, Classic Summer Bash

Hi everyone!  Boy oh boy, I am really not doing well with my posts.  I guess I need to quit my day job so I have time to take photos of my cards and update my blog, lol.  And I wouldn't mind having more time to craft, too.  :)

Here's a fun card I made using the May 2018 Stamp of the Month, "Classic Summer Bash".  I think the jar and straw are so cute.

I used papers from the pretty new set called "Beautiful Friendship".  For the sentiment I used the stamp set called "Sweet Birthday", located in the Annual Catalog.

This stamp of the month is only available until the end of May!!!  Here's the link: S1805 Classic Summer Bash

I've entered this card in the Heart 2 Heart blog challenge: "When Life Hands You Lemons".  Go check out the other fun cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

"Christmas Tunes" stamp of the month card - a shimmery ornament.

Oh my, the holidays are fast approaching!  It's not too early to start making your Christmas cards.  Close to my heart has a great stamp of the month for October called Christmas Tunes.

I used one of those images in a Stamp of the Month Card Swap I participated in.  Here's the card I created.

I didn't have the actual Christmas papers yet when I created this so I used some of the Enchantment Fundamentals papers and I think they worked just great!

It's not easy to capture on camera but the "ornament" image is stamped on shimmer cardstock.  I started out with plain White Daisy cardstock and colored over it with our Clear Shimmer Brush.  Once that was dry I stamped the image and colored it in with our Shin Han markers.

It's a fun effect and very pretty in person.  Also, instead of using the bow image that came with this stamp set, I used our new Thin Cuts Ribbon Border and cut just the bow portion out of our Red Glitter Paper.  I love how it sparkles along with the Silver Glitter Paper accent in the background.

I hope you enjoyed my card and are inspired to hand make a Christmas card yourself.  I will be using some of the other images in this set for more cards this year.

Thanks for stopping by!

You're Tweet

I'm back today with another throwback card from 2 years ago.  I made this card for my monthly card workshop using Close to My Heart's "Claire" paper and the April 2013 Stamp of the Month "My Sunshine".  I was a big fan of "Claire" when it came out and made several cards using it.  I'll be posting more in future throwback posts.

I fell in love with the bird in the "My Sunshine" stamp set, so I wanted to make it a focus of my card.  This particular Stamp of the Month had several images that coordinated with CTMH's Cricut "Artiste" cartridge.

I used my "Artiste" cartridge to cut the bird out of our Silver Glitter Paper.  Then I stamped the bird in Hollyhock ink, cut it out and centered it up on the Glitter Cricut piece.  The Glitter bird wing is popped up for added interest.  I also framed the "You're Tweet" sentiment with the Silver Glitter Paper.  The photo doesn't do that paper justice, it's so shimmery in person.

And because I think you can never have enough sparkles, I added 3 Sparkles in two of the card's corners and a Bitty Sparkle for the bird's eye.

This is the "My Sunshine" stamp set (now retired).

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you liked my card.  If you have any questions, please use the "Contact Me" link in my side bar.  Ciao!

** Note: And as I've mentioned in my previous posts, I'm also listing some of my cards for sale in both my Etsy shop and my Ebay shop.  You can find the links on the sidebar of this blog.  For the next few months the sales will go towards the cost of a school trip to Italy my 15 year old son will be taking next Spring.  Every little bit helps, right? **
