"Christmas Tunes" stamp of the month card - a shimmery ornament.

Oh my, the holidays are fast approaching!  It's not too early to start making your Christmas cards.  Close to my heart has a great stamp of the month for October called Christmas Tunes.

I used one of those images in a Stamp of the Month Card Swap I participated in.  Here's the card I created.

I didn't have the actual Christmas papers yet when I created this so I used some of the Enchantment Fundamentals papers and I think they worked just great!

It's not easy to capture on camera but the "ornament" image is stamped on shimmer cardstock.  I started out with plain White Daisy cardstock and colored over it with our Clear Shimmer Brush.  Once that was dry I stamped the image and colored it in with our Shin Han markers.

It's a fun effect and very pretty in person.  Also, instead of using the bow image that came with this stamp set, I used our new Thin Cuts Ribbon Border and cut just the bow portion out of our Red Glitter Paper.  I love how it sparkles along with the Silver Glitter Paper accent in the background.

I hope you enjoyed my card and are inspired to hand make a Christmas card yourself.  I will be using some of the other images in this set for more cards this year.

Thanks for stopping by!

I wondered how you got the 'all-over' sparkle ...so glad I came to your blog to read how you did it. Really cool and would never have thought to use the simmer brush all over and when dry to then stamp!!! Super creative! Thanks for sharing ...and also great choice of paper...thought it was Beary Christmas!!!...you were just full of surprises! :-)
