Have you seen this? It's been on the news and floating around the internet. How fun would this wedding have been? Be sure to turn off my music below before you push the play button. You can also make it full screen by pushing the button just below the words "You Tube", just to the right of the volume button.
Love it!! Now why didn't I think of that? Somehow I just can't see Chico getting his groove on down the isle, lol.

My Little Party
I had a very relaxing birthday and weekend. On friday we went out to dinner with my parents. I picked Round Table Pizza. I know that's not very exciting, but I like their pizza.
The next morning Chico and the boys headed to the coast to go ride their motorcycles at Shawna, Justin & Drue's house. Justin made a track for the "kids". Yeah, it sounds like he really made it more for the older boys (meaning himself, his brother and Chico). Sounds like they had a great time. Hopefully I'll get some photos from them to share.
I just ran around on Saturday and did a little shopping with my b-day money. I went to Lowes to get a little table lamp for my craft room, but now it's been discontinued, so I'll have to change my plan. So I went and bought some goodies at Craft Warehouse instead. They go in my craft room, right?
Part of my reason for not going with Chico and the boys this weekend was so that I could work on cleaning up the house to get ready for our friends that will be visiting in August. Well, let's just say that didn't happen. I got sucked into a new reality tv program in the afternoon and then watched Mama Mia with Doreen in the evening. It's kind of a silly movie, but I liked it. I love ABBA music.
Yesterday, once Chico and the boys got back, we headed to Rose's for my b-day dinner. Rose was in Eastern Oregon for a class reunion on my birthday, so she wanted to make me dinner. I chose tacos. On the way there we stopped at Costco to pick up a cake. Surprisingly, Chico had pre-ordered one. Rose took some photos of it last night...
Isn't that funny, Chico got me a Princess cake, lol.
Had I known I was going to be in some photos, I probably would have dressed a little better. Oh well.
Blowing out the candles. Luckily she didn't use all 39 candles, we might have needed a fire extinguisher!
Me with the cuties. Drue came back with Chico and the boys and stayed over at Rose's last night. She's so cute! I wish we could see them more often.
And here's the rest of the party, minus Rose who's behind the camera. Chico's Uncle Philip and Uncle LeRoy joined us.
Thank you Rose & Chico for my great dinner & cake! That was fun!

You say it's your birthday...
... it's my birthday, too.
OK, I know I used that same title on my birthday post from last year, but you know "if it isn't broken...".
So, since it's the start of the day, I can't tell you what's in store for the rest of the day. I can tell you that I took the day off to do whatever I want to do. I love to have me some "me time".
I thought I'd share some photos of something I did 4 years ago on my birthday. You see, my dad's birthday is July 3rd (exactly two weeks before mine each year). That year I took him to get a glider ride out near North Plains. We've driven by there on Hwy 26 for years, but had never checked it out. Needless to say, he thought it was pretty cool and so when my special day came along a couple weeks later he offered the same thing to me. So, of course I had to do it.
Here is the glider I rode in. Very rainbowish.
Getting ready to go.
The tow plane is pulling us along.
And we have lift off.
It was really cool! It felt kind of like going on a huge carnival ride. It was strange to be floating around in the sky, with just a little wind noise. It was a beautiful day!
Here's the self portrait shot with my pilot behind me.
The pilot was great. I wish I could remember his name. He let me take the controls for a bit. He tried to talk me into becoming a pilot. That sounds pretty fun, but the last thing I need is another hobby. The ones I have are expensive enough.
Well, here's to a great year, the last one of my 30's - yikes!

Somebody got a new toy tonight
and it wasn't me.
Yesterday Chico and Mateo went to Beaverton. A little while later I got a call from Chico saying "Can I get a motorcycle? Then I can take the boys and go riding with them, etc...". So after work today I swung by mom & dad's and borrowed their utility trailer and when Chico got home we headed off to Beaverton.
The people at the shop probably thought I was a little strange walking around with my camera, but I thought this was a good "blog opportunity". I haven't been good about updating lately, so I need to make sure I'm ready when opportunities arrise.
Anyhoo, I was upstairs with the boys at the store and was trying to get a sneaky shot of Chico and the sales guy, Talon.
The kids had quite a bit of energy. I let them roam around by themselves for a bit with the promise of not touching the bikes and not messing with any of the gear. They did pretty good. We had to wait a bit for the paperwork to get going, so I took some photos to kill some time.
Jaxon's modeling the jacket I said I liked. It's still on the hanger, lol.
Isn't it cute?
Chico modeling a hard backpack. Mateo said he looked like Boba Fett.
This was the bike that Mateo wanted because it had a CD player, A/C, a trunk, etc.. "It's only $20 thousand mom".
Not letting them get on the bikes was killing them. They were thrilled when I let them get on some quads.
This is the toy I want.
Finally... time to go. They already had the bike loaded in our trailer. We're not sure how they knew that was our trailer because neither of us told Talon that was ours. They must have seen us pull in?
Some last minute info and tying down the bike.
Next stop - Granny's house.
Aunt Robin and Uncle Rich showed up so Chico showed them "Bob". We nicknamed it "Bob" because of the dealer tag. When Mateo was younger he noticed Bob on someone's motorcycle and we convinced him that all motorcycle riders had their names on their bikes, hee hee.
Finally made it home. I'm sure Chico's looking forward to going riding with the boys soon. *Oh, by the way for those of you that have asked, it's a 2008 used Yamaha 250 with 157 miles on it. There are some letters in the model name, but I can't tell you off hand what they are. It's a Dual Sport bike so Chico could ride it on the road as well as off road with the boys and their Honda 50s.
